I was engaged by the G.J. Gardner Homes Adelaide Hills franchise to provide colour selections and interior styling for their very first display home, located in the picturesque township of Mount Barker, SA. This exciting project called for a design that would resonate with the local lifestyle—relaxed, welcoming, and connected to nature—while showcasing contemporary elegance to inspire potential homeowners.
The interior styling draws on the warmth and charm of countryside living, thoughtfully balanced with modern design sensibilities. Every element was selected with intention, from the finishes and fixtures to the furnishings and decorative accents, to create a space that feels both comfortable and sophisticated. The goal was to craft a home that didn’t just look beautiful, but also felt like somewhere you’d want to live.

Rooted in the natural surroundings of the Adelaide Hills, the palette features soft greens, natural timber, fresh whites, and organic textures such as wicker and linen. These materials and tones reflect the local landscape and climate, fostering a sense of calm and harmony throughout the home.
This project was designed with deep respect for its setting—offering a seamless blend of form and function, where style and comfort coexist to create a timeless, liveable space.
